Sales promotion and personal selling
Nike's work mainly is on the position of their location. They manufacture in countries that will work for low wage leaving them with more profit than if they were to manufacture in Ireland or America. Sales promotion goes in with Advertising which is a separated post but basically Nike advertise by putting a big time pro sportman using a Nike product making you think if you use the product you'll become as good as they are.
Becoming fit is the turn of the generation and Nike exploist this by using phases like "Find your greatness." They ask and answer question that interest the public and put this idea into their heads.

History & heriatage
The two men who founded this large corporation are Bill Bowerman and Phil Night. Some say they redefined the athletic footwear industry. These two men, started from the bottom, one a sports coach and the other a long distance runner from Portland. As you can tell, the interest was there from the beginning. With contacts to Japan and the ideas of new sports footwear is two main functions that made Nike. Their trick was to make a footwear else out there. With the sudden death of Bill, the company was shocked, as he was known as the "soul of Nike". Pardon the pun. With the lift of Michael Jordan and the swoosh campaign, they were back on track again. They continue sponsoring throughout the 90's and continuing to do so to this day.

Manufacting
Everyone is familiar with Nike as a top of its class sports brand founded in the USA. Know products such as Nike pro, Air jordans and many more and phases like "just do it" and "swoosh". But behind all the money and fame, what is the truth about Nike?
Not many of you may know this but Nike have been accused of child labour in producing goods. Such as soccar balls in Pakistan. A soccar ball costing less than €2 to produce the profit margin would be big.
